Joanna Capelin
Joanna Capelin, MA, is a doctoral student at Pacifica Graduate Institute working on Descent and Ascent: Mythic Styles of Consciousness in Underworld Journeys, which explores Greek mythic underworld descent and ascent motifs and how these underworld journeys might evoke distinct styles of consciousness. She presented a paper at the 2016 JSSS Earth and Psyche conference, “The Rhizome: Exploring a Jungian Symbol for Psychoid Reality,” and as an undergraduate at Colorado College she presented a paper on “The Ecological Restructuring of Contemporary Society” at the Aspen Environmental Forum.
