Carol Shumate

Carol Shumate, PhD (ENFP), co-editor of Personality Type in Depth, teaches the  course on psychological type at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA. Previously, she co-taught the course with Jungian analyst John Beebe, and also developed curriculum materials and  trainings on Beebe’s eight-function model for Type Resources, Inc. She has edited a variety of professional journals and has taught in the humanities departments at Yale, Eastern Connecticut State University, and the University of Colorado. She is currently working on a series of books on Jung, on leadership, and on the trickster archetype.
